El t\u00e9rmino \u201ceje intestino-cerebro-microbiota\u201d se refiere a la comunicaci\u00f3n bidireccional entre el intestino y el cerebro. Este sistema bio-feedback transmite las se\u00f1ales desde el intestino al cerebro, mientras que las neuronas del sistema nervioso aut\u00f3nomo y factores neuroendocrinos lo hacen del cerebro al intestino. Normalmente, la mayor parte de las se\u00f1ales que son transmitidas del sistema digestivo al cerebro no alcanzan el nivel de conciencia.
